What we collect
- Food photos you capture or upload, and the AI judgements derived from them.
- Account data: a backend-generated guest identity, or (when you sign in) your provider subject/email from Sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook.
- Location of meals — only if you explicitly enable it per plate.
- Device/app metadata for sessions and crash reporting. No advertising ID, IDFA or fingerprinting.
- Usage telemetry (Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics): product events only — never photos, exact GPS, or AI prompt content.
How we use it
To provide and improve the service: judgements, history, sharing, and aggregate analytics. AI judgements are produced by third-party AI providers under contract; we send them the image only to produce the result.
What we don't do
We never sell your data, never expose exact location publicly without explicit separate consent, and never use your photos for ads.
Your controls
In the app you can delete individual plates, remove location, revoke share links, manage notifications, and delete your account and all content.
Retention
Photos and results are deleted with the plate or account. Original uploads live only transiently for processing. Account deletion removes your data from the live application; external database backups follow a separate operator retention policy.
